This piece unique Roger Dubuis Hommage (Ref. H34566) palladium watch comes as a full set. It is one of the very first watches created by the legendary watchmaker, after establishing his own brand in 1995. It has an entirely unique dial and the movement is signed "No.1". It is also chronometer graded, with a COSC certificate and was fully serviced by Roger Dubuis in September 2014. It is overall in excellent condition, with a small ding in the bezel visible at 2 o'clock.

Roger Dubuis' story started in a typical watchmaker's fashion - learning his craft at big Manufacture, like Patek Philippe. These formative years are clearly reflected in the style of this Hommage piece unique watch, inspired by classics such as the Patek Philippe's Ref. 130. It is also similar to the Ref. 5070, albeit in a more elegant, smaller size. The design is that of a two-register chronograph, with a two-tone silver and beige dial. The face is painted with Arabic numerals, luminous baton indices and an outer fifth of a second track on a silver ring. The dial has white gold feuilles hands and blued steel chronograph hands.

The watch was made as a unique piece, and sold on November 22, 1996. Its design is classic to early Roger Dubuis and the watch is believed to have been made by the watchmaker himself. The case is very distinct with its polished, stepped concave bezel and brushed concave lugs. The three-body structure gives the watch a larger presence on the wrist than the mid-size 34 mm case would normally suggest.

The watch is powered by the Cal. RD 56 (based on the Lemania 2310), bearing the Seal of Geneva. The complexity of the movement is revealed through a saphire case-back, featuring a 21 jewel, straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet spring and swan-neck micrometer regulator.

The watch comes on an unoriginal brown lizard strap and steel tang buckle. It has the original box, seal, swing-tag, an extra palladium case back, as well as the certificate of authenticity, Genevan Certificate of Origin and the COSC timekeeping certificate.
