The top of the box features textured lines running across its length, with a smooth polished trim and a statement gilded double-dolphin handle. The base is smooth and features "Hermès Paris", engraved on the base. Lift the lid on its hinged back, and it opens to reveal an elegant cedar-lined interior, with three compartments. The wood itself remains in excellent condition and has a beautiful graining. There are subtle signs of its age with a dark patina to the silver that has an iridescent sheen, only adding to the vintage charm of this collectable piece.

This Hermès box remains in good condition. The maker's hallmark, together with the "Hermès Paris" engraving, are clearly visible on the bottom. The bottom displays minor scratches, consistent with wear. The brass dolphins shows signs of oxidiation, which can be polished off - albeit it adds to the charm of the object.
