This vintage, unpolished stainless steel Rolex Submariner 5513 from 1979 is in fantastic vintage condition and has perfect mechanical functionality. It is guaranteed for authenticity, and comes with its original box, servicing papers from Rolex and original receipt from when the watch was resold in 1989.

The Rolex Submariner is an icon, and rightly so. It is made of the highest quality, it is confidently utilitarian and reliable, not to mention, it has inherently good looks, with fantastic proportions and ruggedness. It was famously worn by many, from James Bond to Steve McQueen. The Submariner is pure in its form, and none other than the dateless ref.5513, better encapsulates this notion. It is seen by many as the quintessential Submariner.

This particular Rolex 5513 is a later matte dial variant, with a particularly desirable Maxi Mark III dial. The Mark III dial is the most sought-after due to the fact that these examples had the largest luminous hour plots out of any other Submariner, giving the dial a fuller look.

The case of this Rolex is in remarkably unpolished condition, with sharp bevels on its lugs being a tell-tale sign. The brushing on top of the lugs is still very visible, while the polished sides are in excellent condition. The bezel retains its tritium luminous plot and has a thick font, correct for the period.

This Rolex Submariner 5513 comes on its original 93150 double clasp bracelet with correct 580 end-links. It has minor scratches and is in excellent condition. The crown is signed with the correct triple-lock. It also comes with a service replacement bezel from Rolex and one additional link.
