Sarpaneva
Silver cufflinks
Limited to 50
These Sarpaneva cufflinks are a playful take on one of the few items of jewellery traditionally worn by men. Crafted from silver, they feature Sarpaneva’s familiar stylised moon, found on some of their timepieces such as the Korona K0. Limited to 50 pieces, the silver cufflinks have aged gracefully, developing a subtle patina on the moon portion.
As the son of jewellery designer Pentti Sarpaneva, and nephew of the internationally acclaimed designer and artist Timo Sarpaneva, it was always the case that Stepan’s career would take a creative direction.
Educated at the Finnish School of Watchmaking and then WOSTEP, Sarpaneva (the brand) was formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 2003. Inspired by his time at manufactures including Piaget, Parmigiani, Vianney Halter and Christophe Claret, Stepan demonstrates his passion for the craft in each watch to come out of the workshop.
The distinctive moonphase, use across several watches, has become an unmistakable design trait for the brand. At the same time playful and dramatic, Stepan has attempted to add his own chapter in the long and storied history of moonphases created across a wide range of manufacturers. Surrounded by a hexagonal structure, the silver moon stands out on the cuff.
