The 11630 contains perhaps two of the most useful modern complications in the form of the chronograph and the GMT functions, the latter providing the user with two time zones. Being the second generation of automatic Autavia GMTs, the 5 has a larger and more streamlined case than its predecessor, due to the pushers being embedded beneath the case. This Heuer Autavia is 42mm in diameter and features an evenly faded red and blue bezel, which functions to delineate the AM or PM in the second time zone indication. The large and thick case is bevelled throughout, maintains all of its original finishing, with the top featuring a brushed texture and the sides a polished finish. This Autavia GMT has all of its original parts, including the Heuer signed crown, and fluted chronograph pushers.
The dial sits beneath a flat mineral crystal and has luminous index markers. It has a two register layout for the chronograph function, with the three o’clock sub-dial showing a thirty-minute-counter, and the nine o’clock sub-dial showing a twelve-hour-counter. The watch has red accents throughout, creating a very 70’s aesthetic, with red outlines for both the hour and minute hands, and further accents on each hour marker. There is a date window at six o’clock, and an extra central hand to indicate the second time zone.
This Heuer GMT is powered by the Calibre 14 Chronomatic movement, an automatic chronograph with a second time zone function. It has been serviced and checked to ensure that it is functioning up to vintage standard. It comes with a brand new, unworn nubuck strap from Heuerville, with red and blue stitching that matches the Pepsi bezel.
