INDEPENDENT WATCHMAKER - ISLE OF MAN, GREAT BRITAIN
Every Roger W. Smith watch is a masterpiece of mechanical art. Making just ten pieces each year, the Roger W. Smith Studio practices the unique Daniels method of watchmaking. Formerly apprenticed to the late George Daniels, Roger Smith mastered the thirty-two skills required to design and make a watch in its entirety by hand. His relationship with Mr Daniels is the subject of a documentary, “The Watchmaker’s Apprentice”. Watch our interview with Roger W. Smith, the only workshop creating complete watches and movements in the British Isles.
